KOFFIA 2012 Short Film Competition
The Korean Film Festival in Australia is holding the first Korean short film award in Australia.
Open to all Australian filmmakers, this competition is a great opportunity to showcase your talent. With thousan
ds of dollars up for grabs, it's time to get filming!
The screening and awards ceremony will take place on the 25th of August, 2012 during KOFFIA's run at Dendy Opera Quays Cinema in Sydney.
Entry requirements
The competition is open to both Korean and Australian filmmakers, as long as the film has a Korean aspect to it.
- Your writer/director/producer/composer is of Korean heritage OR;
- Your main actor/actress is of Korean heritage OR;
- Your film is about Korean food/clothes/culture/traditions/people OR;
- Your film is in Korean language OR;
- Your film embraces Korea in some aspect
Applications
To participate in the competition for the screening and prizes of the KOFFIA Short Film Competition, an applicant must complete, and submit their film with a completed application form by the following dates.
- Submission Deadline: Tues 6pm, 24th July 2012
- Selection Announcement: Tues, 31st July 2012
- Screening Date: Sat, 25th August 2012
Please send in your application form along with a copy of your film as a DVD or HD file. This will serve as the screening copy of your film. To learn more about the competition and download the form, click here

- Jury Award 1st: $2,000 cash prize
- Jury Award 2nd: $1,000 cash prize
- Jury Award 3rd: $500 cash prize
- NIDA Best Actor Award: 2 day weekend acting course (RRP $260)
- NIDA Best Actress Award: 2 day weekend acting course (RRP $260)
- Metro Screen Audience Award: TBC
